Film Study

This is an evaluation of a film called .  I evaluate this film from some aspected of film elements such as the plot.  It's the first time I write a evaluation for a film. From this task, I learned lots of knowledge about film. These knowledge can let me get a deep understanding of a film! After study this subject, I can easily understand the role's mentality. It's really useful!

Writing Skill

a. Write your first piece for a mature audience (define), using a style that reflects your key purpose

Sydney Fringe is Sydney’s independent festival from September 6 to September 29.

The Sydney Fringe pops up in venues all over Sydney, including Leichhardt, Parramatta, Oxford Street and the City. This is a very popular activity that can bring you a great experience for the visual and performing arts. This festival gathered many people from different jobs and different ages. All of them show their special aesthetical of arts. You might think this is really a great festival can make you Vitality Toughness. Come and enjoy this visual experience.

b. Then write it again, but now directed towards a younger audience (define). 

A very fashion and popular festival Sydney Fringe festival will be hold on September 6 to September. Fringe Central covers the Inner West, Inner East and CBD and includes the Newtown/Marrickville/Enmore area, which boasts the highest concentration of independent theatres and live performance spaces in Sydney and the largest artist population in Australia. This might has a strong attraction on young people. You will enjoy a visual and performing arts. You can also show your own special types of dressing. This is really a popular festival especially for young guys. So just come to enjoy.

This is from eJournal in March. The tutor ask us to write two paragraph that have same information but the target population are different. The purpose of this task is let your words in the information product suitable for target population. This is a useful practice, because if your words are not suitable for the target population, they may not read it. In this way, the suitable words and are a essential element in an information product.

First time to write

This is my first day of this semester. I am an International student from China. This is my first year in Australia.

This morning I had done two lectures, one is Communication Culture industries and Practices, the other one is Creative Information Design.

I think this subject might be very useful and good for me. Because I like drawings and things about designs.

This might be difficult for an International student, because of the different language. However, I might enjoy this subject and  work hard on it.

This piece of paragraph is my first eJournal! It's really interest when you read it at the last week of this subject. When I wrote this eJournal, I felt I will have a tough time to learn this subject because the language skill; however, I feel this subject are really interesting and not very tough like I think.  In this subject, I learned lots of knowledge about design and I think these knowledge will be really useful in my career life!

Evaluation of exist information product

By doing this task I feel more successful with evaluating. And i find that analyse according to elements of design (e.g. composition, color) is really a good way to evaluation. On the other hand, for the content of an information product, I think the purpose of an information product is the essential thing. An information product must let readers know what is the information product for and what  it wants to express.

This information product is made in a workshop. Before I go to this workshop I have no idea about InDesign, so I go to this workshop to learn how to use InDesign well. After this workshop, I can use Indesign very well. There are lots of tools can use to make a more beautiful information product. Also there is a rich font lib ,so I can design my information product better!

This task are did at class. the purpose of this task is to learn how to use InDesign to create an information product. When I start doing this, it's really difficult because I never use it before! So this is the first product that i made by using InDesign! After doing this I know well about some basic tools in InDesign such as Rectangle Frame Tool and Direct Selection Tool. Although these tools are basic, I feel hard to use when I did this task. But now they are really basic!
